Church arson suspect the "Count" is mourning the death of his Satanist friend Øystein Aarseth (25), who was found murdered in Oslo yesterday morning. Øystein Aarseth (25), was found murdered with multiple stab wounds in a stairwell in Tøyen.

Mournful

"Aarseth was a friend of mine. He ran the record company that released my records", said the "Count", politely dismissively when "BA" approached him last night. He had received the sad news earlier in the day.

"I'm going to say what needs to be said to the police. However, I do not know who is behind it", he says.

"Please understand that I can't bear to talk about this now. He was a good friend of mine", said the "Count", carefully closing the door behind him. The incident in Oslo has clearly left its mark on the church arsonist. The "Count" has been to Oslo several times and visited his now deceased friend.

More knife stabs

"The deceased had several stab wounds. It is too early to say whether it is a ritual murder, but so far there is nothing to suggest that", says the acting chief police department Kai Egeland at the personal and violence section at Oslo Police Headquarters.

Aarseth was found at 5 a.m. according to NTB (Norsk Telegrambyrå - Norwegian Telegram Agency), neighbors in the four-storey apartment block told the police that they heard shouting and noise in the hallway a couple of hours earlier. The police carried out a door to door operation in the apartment building on Tuesday morning to get more information about the suspicious death.

Satanists in interrogation

"We are investigating the case. It is clear that people who knew the deceased will be questioned", says Egeland. He confirms that several Satanists will be called in for questioning. Egeland also confirms that it is natural for the murder investigators to cooperate with the so-called Church arson group, which, among other things, is managing the "Count"-case.

The deceased Øystein Aarseth appeared in the press earlier this year after a possible connection emerged between the Satanist circles in Bergen and Oslo, and last year's eight church arsons. Aarseth was then the owner of the Satanist-influenced record and mail-order store "Helvete", which among other things sold the records of the "Count", who was then imprisoned in Bergen.

In the interviews, the now deceased shop owner distanced himself from the claims that people in the extreme Black Metal circles had something to do with the church arsons.

The record store "Helvete" was searched by the police, who also seized a number of items. The deceased Øystein Aarseth was questioned by the police, but was later cleared of the church arsons case.
